iFixit just disassemble Google flagship phone – Nexus 4 and unexpected of the finding of 4G LTE chip within. According to the teardown, Nexus 4′s 2GB memory is supplied by Samsung, 8GB Flash by Toshiba, Qualcomm’s multi-band 4G LTE chip, five Avago chip – one for GSM and Edge networks, three for the power amplifier, leaving the last one specially for GPS, battery is 3.8V 2100mAh, LG’s 4.7 inch 1280×768 WXGA IPS display. The Nexus 4 repairable score is 7/10.
Now we can only speculate why Google does not offer a 4G version of the Nexus 4:
1) The retailers limitation or
2) LG’s flagship phone Optimus G and The Nexus 4 uses the same chip. Taking manufacturing cost into considerations, no amendment made may be beneficial to simplify manufacturing.
