Update Spain Galaxy S2 I9100 To Android 4.1.2 XWLS8 Jelly Bean Official Firmware

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware is rolling out in Spain on Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 recently. If you still cannot receive Android 4.1.2 update via OTA, you may manually update using our guide below. This is only applicable to Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 with stock recovery, in other word, no modification was made on your phone’s system files.

Download

  1. Official Android 4.1.2 JB For Galaxy S2 (I9100XWLS8_I9100FOPLS3_FOP.zip, 541.3MB)
  2. Odin v1.85 (Odin3-v1.85.zip, 203KB)

Instructions:

  1. Extract the downloaded ***ROM***zip with WinRar to a folder.
  2. You should see final.tar.md5 and Odin.exe from downloaded.zip file.
  3. Now, turn off your phone.
  4. Entering Samsung Galaxy S2 Download Mode by pressing and hold the Volume Down key, Home button, and Power button, followed by Volume Up button right after the screen turns on.
  5. Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable.
  6. Launch Odin by double-clicking on Odin3.exe. Wait until an “Added” message shown at the lower-left message box of Odin user interface.
  7. Once your phone is recognized, click on the PDA button and select the final.tar.md5
  8. Make sure the Repartition option is not checked under Options & check on Auto Reboot.
  9. Click Start button to flash final.tar.md5 on your Samsung Galaxy S2. The progress can be observed via Odin User Interface.
  10. Once the flashing is completed, a green “PASS” message will be shown to indicate the flashing is successful.
  11. Disconnect your phone now and your phone shall reboot automatically.
  12. Your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 has been successfully updated with official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XWLS8 firmware.
